I have set up this blog (my first) to talk about my experiences with the IBM corporate service corps i(CSC) n Kolkata, India. I am super-excited and nervous and excited and nervous and did I mention excited?
This program enables IBMers from around the world to work together in developing countries to solve real problems. So, I am about to head out Wednesday (in 1 1/2 days) to Kolkata to work with our client ONergy. ONergy is a renewable energy venture providing complete energy solutions across rural India. There is still a ton of stuff to do: packing, wrapping things up for my day job, and leaving things in as good a shape as possible for my family. Somehow these 3 months of preparing zoomed by.
Its such a strange limbo to be in. It will be hard to be gone from everything I know for a month, but the IBM team has been so warm and welcoming that I cannot wait to meet them in person either. I feel like a ping-pong ball, but in a good way, if that is possible ; )

Ping pong balls seems to have a pretty good time of it, what with all the bounciness and flying about the room and crashing into things, right? It’s gonna be great!
